Friability Testers

Erweka offers a range of quality units (with extremely low drum wobble) to ensure that samples meet the required specifications.

The TA version (available for holding 1, 2, or 4 drums) offers a fixed rotation speed of 25rpm. On the TAR version (available with 1 or 2 drums) the rotation can be set between 20 and 100rpm. The TAR in addition offers the “easy loading and automated emptying function” where the friability drum doesn't have to be removed and opened for loading and emptying.

The TAR is available with USB printer interface (optional) for hard-copy documentation of test-run parameters.

The TDR 100 comes with an interface to connect an analytical balance (Sartorius or Mettler) and therefore offers semi-automated operations. Results can be shown or printed via the standard parallel printer interface.

Similar to the TAR series, the speed is adjustable (20 – 100rpm) and can be set to the 10º position by a switching leg and offers an easy load and automatic emptying function for the friability drum.

The ERWEKA GTA 120 friability tester has been designed for any form of tablets, granules and pellets according to Pharm.Eur. The single glass bottle is fixed to a holder which is connected to an arm performing the shaking (oscillation) procedure as described in the Pharm.Eur.

An acrylic glass lid covers the testing area.
